As per the news of Mirror, Edwards explained how the Jamaican sprinter requested her not to end the relationship. She said, “It was amazing out there, but that’s where I decided it couldn’t go on. He was talking about having to fly here and there, and I was going back to my office job.”

After thinking about it, Edwards called the sprinter and told him how the distance had become a problem for her. As per Megan, Usain was distressed about things ending harshly with them.

Edwards explained the simplicity of her lifestyle and said, “I am just a normal girl and I know people say, ‘You would have been fine with it’, but I wouldn’t. If I was a celebrity then our relationship probably would have lasted longer.” They parted their ways after a serious discussion and decided never to cross their ways again. However, in 2016, Bolt met his long-term girlfriend, Kasi Bennet. They had their first child in 2020.

Meeting the icon

When Megan first met the eight-time gold medalist, she thought he was handsome, but she wasn’t shocked or star-struck meeting him. Then she got shocked when Usain asked for her number as the news of their relationship broke on the internet as they were spotted together in London’s Movida Club.

But as the news spread, it became hard for the couple to go to public places together. So then they started spending time at home. They used to spend their quality time together watching television.
