Sha’Carri Richardson outshined every sprinter on the tracks of Oregon this year. The 100-meter track expert, after the infamous suspension, secured the gold at the USATF 2023 championship by completing the finals race in just 10.82 seconds on the tracks of Hayward Field. The LSU star, after her achievement, is currently competing in the 2023 World Championships.

From securing Gold in Oregon to competing on European tracks, Richardson is certainly having an eventful year. But this comeback is not making the sprinter miss out on all the fun. Recently, the athlete posted a story on Instagram hinting at meeting his favorite rapper, Drake, in New York.

Sha’Carri Richardson hinted at meeting the Canadian rapper.

On July 24, Sha’Carri Richardson posted an Instagram story tagging Drake with the caption “I’m gone see you when I see you,” emphasizing her anticipation for Drake’s performance in New York. In the picture, the athlete had posted her Chanel Deauville Shoulder tote bag filled with plushies and her headphones in a car after coming back from the European tour. The athlete had also added the Canadian rapper’s song to her story, No Friends in The Industry, which gave a shout-out to Richardson in her lyrics.

Currently, Drake is on his ‘It’s All Blur’ tour, and after performing in Chicago, the Canadian rapper is currently in New York. The rapper kicked off his New York show on July 17 and will perform seven shows in the City until July 26. At Madison Square Garden along with 21 Savage, Drake will be performing his sixth show of the New York tour. And now that Richardson is back in New York, and hinted to attend Drake’s concert. The athlete will most likely be seen at the Canadian rapper’s show.

After Sha’Carri Richardson took a hiatus from her beloved arena back in 2021, the athlete was mentioned in Drake’s song “No Friends in the Industry,” with the lyrics “And I’m like Sha’Carri, smoking ’em on and off the track.” These lyrics, sparked a backlash for the rapper, as Richardson’s fans accused the artist of disrespecting the sprinter. However, Drake quickly cleared things up, revealing that Richardson is her favorite sprinter.

Following the ban, Drake also tweeted, “They Know She Would Ate,” in support of the athlete. In response, Richardson expressed her admiration for the rapper, revealing that her favorite song from the Canadian rapper is “No Friends in the Industry.”

Besides Drake, many other athletes have shown their liking for the sprinter. Recently, the Barbarian legend Rihanna, after Richardson’s comeback, also commented “Clean” under one of her posts, appreciating her outstanding performance.
