American-born Swedish athlete Mondo Duplantis has taken pole vaulting to new heights, and every victory he achieves continues to pose a new challenge for others. Along with winning gold at the Olympics and on the world stage in both indoor and outdoor pole vaulting, he holds world records in both categories. His personal life is also blessed with a lovely relationship with Desiré Inglander, a Swedish model. Duplantis said their relationship has improved his life, quite evident from his already-established sports legend status at 24.

Days after his triumph at the “Mondo Classic,” which spectacularly began his 2024, the pole vaulter marked another milestone with his partner.

The track celebrity couple first met on Midsummer Eve, a well-known holiday with deep cultural origins in Sweden. And just yesterday, the pair completed three years of being by each other’s sides. Mondo shared a photo of himself and Desiré on Instagram, showing his arm wrapped around his girl hugging each other from what appeared to be a stadium. “Three years with this one 🤍” he captioned the post.

Duplantis is occupied as the Paris Olympics begin this summer, but his girlfriend knows how to cheer him up when things get tough. Inglander stood up for her boyfriend right from the spectator box at the Mondo Classic on February 6, in which Duplantis defended his title. Later, she uploaded a video featuring the caption “Stolt,” which means ‘proud’ in English. Meanwhile, American pole vaulters Sam Kendricks and KC Lightfoot finished after him in the second and third spots, respectively.

Their public support has continued since 2023, when Duplantis and Inglander attended the World Athletics Year award in Monaco. Perfectly attired for the event, the pair exuded pure joy as Duplantis accepted the award. Upon his victory, Inglander gave him a shoutout on Instagram, accompanied by “Another One” in the caption, since it was his third win. And when discussing their love, one cannot overlook the beautiful memories they created over the years.

Since the first year of their relationship, the couple has been truly in love with one another. In February 2021, Duplantis commented to Newsbeezer.com, “It is true that I found love.” Later, in talks with Aftonbladet, a Swedish newspaper, he quoted, “Of course it(the relationship) makes a difference to me as a person, but I don’t know if it affects me as a pole vaulter. Maybe I’ll be better; we’ll see.

And rightly so, the following years were marked by victory for the pole vaulter, with Inglander almost always seen supporting him at the event venues. Meanwhile, the internet got to see the adorable side of the duo through the media.
