Shericka Jackson has brought back the glory of Jamaica by clinching the victory on the tracks of Eugene. In August, the 29-year-old Jamaican sprinter faced disappointment on the 100-meter tracks of Budapest at the World Athletics Championship, as the athlete had to settle for the second position by clocking in 10.72 while Sha’carri Richardson won the race in 10.65 seconds.

On September 8, Shericka Jackson didn’t surpass American legend Flo-Jo’s historic 200-meter (21.34) record set in the 1988 Olympics. The athlete, despite running the fourth fastest time in history, could not match the speed of Flo Jo and won the event in 21.48 seconds.
