The 11th round of the Diamond League has successfully ended in Zurich. Track and Field champions Sha’Carri Richardson, Shericka Jackson, and Noah Lyles were spotted on the Swiss track asserting their dominance by clinching victories. Richardson, continuing to maintain her 100-meter dominance, won the event by clocking in 10.88 seconds. On the other hand, Shericka Jackson and Noah Lyles won the 200-meter event in 21.82 and 19.80 seconds, respectively. Apart from these staunch performances, Yulimar Rojas, Danielle Williams, Neeraj Chopra, and Karsten Warholm also secured the top positions on the podiums in their respective fields.

And now, to continue the event, the Diamond League has reached China. In the 12th round of the Diamond League held in Xiamen, the 2023 world champions will look forward to adding one more victory to their growing list. The event will also be the last qualifying round for many disciplines of the league.

The 2023 Xiamen Diamond League will make its debut on September 2. After replacing the city of Shenzhen as the official track for the league, this event will be held at Egret Stadium, Xiamen.

The stadium, known for its huge capacity to retain up to 53,000 people, will be the last spot for many disciplines before kicking off the finals in Hayward Field, Eugene. The athletes trying to secure the ticket for the finals will be participating in events scheduled for the evening of September 2.

Schedule for the Xiamen Diamond League

The Xiamen Diamond League will begin at 18:09 with long jump women, followed by high jump women at 18:20. On 19:04, 400m men will be showcased, followed by 3000m women and discus women at 19:16 and 19:26, respectively.

The highly anticipated 100-meter men’s race will begin at 19:35, before the triple jump men at 19:44. Similarly, the 800-meter men will compete at 19:44, followed by the 400-meter women at 19:57.

In the final hour, at 20:07, the 3000-meter steeplechase for men will take place, before the 400-meter hurdles for women at 20:27. At 20:37, the 1500-meter women’s race will take place. Following this, the event will be concluded with the 110-meter hurdles for men at 20:53. Different media platforms are also available to watch this highly anticipated event.

How to Watch the Xiamen Diamond League

At 18:09, with long jump women, the Xiamen Diamond League will kick off. However, the live event will not be streamed in every territory. In a few permissible territories, the event can be streamed by fans on both television and online. The event will be streamed on Wanda Diamond League’s YouTube channel at 19:00.

In Africa SuperSport will be streaming the event, while in the UK, the event will be streamed by the BBC. In the United States, NBC, which holds the streaming rights, will broadcast the event on its channels. Fans in the US can watch the event through Peacock Premium and CNBC. The event will be broadcast by these two channels for cable and satellite subscribers. Many top-tier athletes will be seen participating in the event.

On September 2, the Egret Stadium will be filled with top-tier athletes from all corners of the world. In the hurdles race, three-time world champion Grant Holloway will join the forces of his staunch team to claim another win for the United States.

Jamaican Olympian Hansle Parchment, who will need to win the event to secure his ticket to the finals, will also be spotted on the tracks. Interestingly, on the 100-meter race track, two-time Olympian Marcel Jacobs representing Italy will be in heated competition against Fred Kerley, who will be representing the US.

Apart from these staunch athletes, Britain’s Ben Pattinson, Burkinabé athlete Fabrice Zango Hughes, and US Olympic star Vernon Norwood will also be spotted on the Chinese tracks.

On the other hand, in the women’s event, Dominican athlete Marileidy Paulino, who created history at the Worlds, will be participating in the 400-meter event. Serbian long jump athlete Ivana Vuleta will also compete against American long jumper Quanesha Burks. In the discus event, Laulauga Tausaga, who won America’s first gold in the discus, will be competing against Bin Feng in her homeland.
