I’m actually happy for Sha’Carri Richardson for coming second with a time of 10.92s. I watched her about two weeks ago where she ran 11.2x in the rain. #PrefontaineClassic

Richardson went against her nature as she declined to a post-race interview.
Sha'Carri Richardson ran 10.92 seconds to finish second in today's Pre Classic 100, well back of Elaine Thompson-Herah (10.79). She declined media interviews as she passed through a mixed zone afterward.

As expected Elaine Thompson-Herah wins a stacked 100m Diamond League in Eugene in 10.79. But notable run from Sha’Carri Richardson in 10.92 given she only began her season last week and is said to be undercooked. Dina Asher-Smith fourth in 10.98

Sha’Carri’s performance came at the perfect time and venue. This is the same race where she finished 9th last year and was dubbed, a ‘failure’. With such a convincing display, her fans are hopeful of seeing her improve on her current time and become a medal contender at the Paris Olympics.

Even though Sha’Carri hasn’t been able to achieve much success on the track in the recent past, but she is still one of the most talked-about athletes in the sport. She becomes the point of attraction wherever she goes. Perhaps it is because of her fearless personality or her carefree attitude. She has faced a lot of criticism and has thus become an expert on how to deal with it.
A Twitter user called her “miss ninth place” and she had the perfect response for him. “Miss 9th place I can change that, what can you do with your life boo, let me help you.”
