US Track Legend Allyson Felix Joins Michael Phelps and Shaun White as an Ambassador for a $6.86 Billion Company

Allyson Felix has multiple Olympic and world titles to her name. An incredible sprinter, Felix has been an inspiration to many younger athletes we see in competition these days. With 11 Olympic medals and 18 world medals, Felix is the most decorated woman in Olympic track and field history.

And as of Thursday, Felix has become an ambassador for OMEGA, the Swiss luxury watch company.

Allyson Felix: the new face of OMEGA

OMEGA announced Allyson Felix as their new ambassador on May 19th. According to the CEO of OMEGA, Raynald Aeschlimann“Allyson represents the exact dedication and talent it takes to reach the top.” Felix has now officially joined names like Michael Phelps and Shaun White, athletes that were at the very top of their sports in their careers, as an ambassador.

“As Official Timekeeper, @omegawatches has been timing my athletics career since the beginning. It’s great to now be part of the brand family and wear that same precision on my wrist. Love this watch!” said Felix, on her new relationship with OMEGA.

OMEGA’s most recognized partnership is with James Bond, the fictional spy character. The collaboration has been going on since 1995. Real-name celebs that endorse OMEGA include names like George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, Cindy Crawford, Eddie Redmayne, and Daniel Craig. Felix has joined the roster of incredible celebrities and athletes alike.

What has Felix been up to?

Other than attaching her name to the multi-billion dollar watch company, Felix has been active on and off the track. Earlier in the year, Felix announced that 2022 would be her final competitive season in the sport. In an Instagram post, Felix expressed her gratitude toward her career and her motivations for running and said her goodbyes.

In June last year, Felix launched her own footwear company, Saysh. This year, she gave a TED Talk in April on overcoming fear. The sprinting legend has always been in the headlines for her stand against discrimination faced by many mothers and pregnant women. In May, she received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters, attended the Met Gala, and even gave the commencement speech at her alma mater, the University of Southern California.

In addition, Felix has done many collaborations with various brands like Athleta, Nivea, etc., which can be frequently seen on her Instagram. The star athlete has had a busy career on and off the field. Surely, her retirement at the end of this season won’t keep her from making headlines in the future.
