When the American sprinter Trayvon Bromell landed in England, he would have thought of making Birmingham Diamond League a landmark moment in his career. However, before he could even showcase his talent, the 26-year-old sprinter got disqualified from the 100m race.

Trayvon Bromell disqualified from Birmingham Diamond League
US track star, along with the British sprinter Zharnel Hughes, was given a red card for the false start. As a result, both of them were disqualified from the race. Not just for the athletes but even for fans, it was the biggest disappointment of the season. It was something no one would have anticipated. After the race, Bromell tweeted, ?Send my apologies to everyone who had to watch that rookie mistake.??

Trayvon Bromell, who was the world?s fastest man last year at 9.76 seconds, was the top favorite at the event. However, after today’s setback, he would like to forget this event as soon as possible. Though the American sprinter still remains tied for third in the world this year at 9.92 seconds, trailing world leader Ferdinand Omanyala of Kenya (9.85).

Who won Birmingham Diamond League 100m?
With Trayvon Bromell and British sprinter Zharnel Hughes out of the picture, it was Canadian track star Aaron Brown who tasted the victory. He won the race with 10.13 seconds on the clock. Just beside him in the second place was Yohan Blake of Jamaica with 10.18 seconds on the clock. While Andre De Grasse with 10.24 seconds could only manage a fourth place.
