The USATF Indoor Championships are raging on and fans are being treated to some incredible performances on the track. However, those watching the event from their homes haven’t been able to soak in the thrills like the live attendees. Before the tournament, it was revealed that only the second day of the Championships would be broadcast on TV and that didn’t sit well with the fans.

Track and field star not happy with USATF Indoor Championships streaming

In his latest Instagram story, Bromell expressed his anger over the USATF Indoor Championships’ streaming situation. On day one of the tournament, the 2023 World Championships gold medalist Grant Holloway ran a spectacular race and broke his own 60m hurdles record to set a new world record (7.27). On the same day, Tia Jones tied the women’s 60m hurdles world record. But, for the lack of streaming, no one could watch their phenomenal performances, and Bromell wasn’t taking it lightly.

In his story, Trayvon wrote, “Interesting” citing the missed opportunity that restricted fans of Jones and Hollowway to witness history. He also mentioned that while seeing the sport grow is promising, it’s also necessary to protect the integrity of the same. “We want the sport to grow but gatekeep our own sport“, stated Bromell with evident frustration.

While Trayvon continues to advocate for better streaming services for a tournament of such magnitude, USA athletes continue to dish out stellar performances at the USATF Championships.
