Shericka Jackson is considered among the world’s elite track and field stars for a reason. 2023 has been a brilliant year for the 29-year-old Olympian and she’s keeping the hopes alive for the 2024 Paris Olympics as well. The three-time Diamond League gold medalist recently added yet another feather to her rather elaborate cap. The RJRGLEANER Sports Foundation’s Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year award ceremony has just concluded and Jackson narrowly beat her national colleague Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to win the coveted honor.

While Shericka admitted that the 2023 World Athletics Championships came with an unusual challenge for her, that didn’t stop her from grabbing glory by the scruff in Budapest. The RJR Foundation had to salute her resolute mindset, and her fans can’t stop looking for words of praise.

Shericka Jackson seals her status among the elite

In the recently held event at the Jamaican Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston, Shericka was the favorite for the Sportswoman of The Year award. Despite having to fight the illustrious legacy of national teammate and the reigning title holder Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Jackson’s performance in Budapest last year was the final determining factor. Shericka won the gold in the 200m event in the 2023 World Championships while securing two silvers in the 100m race and the 4x100m relay with her team.

Her stellar form from 2023 was paid its due credits earlier today when Shericka was handed the reward. Along with making a statement on the track, underscoring her focus on the upcoming Olympic Games, Jackson also took to social media to share her fabulous look for the evening with the caption “She’s royal“.

The color of her dress reflected her fiery mentality, as well as Jackson’s fixation on retaining her current form. She didn’t look a bit out of her comfort zone outside of the track as her destiny was already sealed thanks to the exploits at Eugene, Oregon last year. With her win, fans have come forward with words of vehement support to help their favorite star keep her head above the water.

Shanelle, on the other hand, is flattened by Shericka’s choice of clothing. “Omg i love it.”, commented the fan. Another fan thinks Shericka’s look should be given the proper platform where more can take a gawk at her glamor.
