As an example, Dave Portnoy derided the unique traditions of Texas A&M University. His mockery was particularly pronounced after he saw a video of the Aggies welcoming new football coach Mike Elko. Moreover, he also called that institution the weirdest of its kind. Portnoy unveiled another controversial take after coming across a post on X.

An honest and unfiltered take, as per Dave Portnoy
Dave Portnoy took to his X handle after seeing a post from an employee at SpaceX. The person in question works as an author and technical writer for SpaceX and Tesla. They searched for the most honest assessment of Business Insider as a publication, with vulgar and troll-heavy overtones. The response that was unearthed was from an entity named Grok. Portnoy agreed with Grok’s take wholeheartedly. He wrote, “I don’t know who Grok is but this is the truest thing ever said about anything ever.”

Much to Dave Portnoy’s delight, Grok called Business Insider “the lovechild of a tabloid and a clickbait farm, with a dash of self-importance thrown in for good measure.” Grok further added, “They’re like a pack of rabid raccoons rummaging through the dumpster of the internet, searching for any scrap of a story they can regurgitate and slap a clickbait headline on.” In addition, Grok called it a wonder they had not been sued for false advertising.

Legal issues with Business Insider
Dave Portnoy cheered when Business Insider saw its founder Henry Blodget step down as CEO of the company. He celebrated that as though it were a festive occasion. Portnoy and Business Insider were embroiled in a legal battle not that long ago. The latter published stories alleging sexual misconduct on the former’s part, leading to a defamation lawsuit in 2022. That was dismissed and Portnoy decided to drop the appeal.

Dave Portnoy had beef with Business Insider in the past. That appears to be done and dusted, as things stand. Simultaneously, there appears to be a bit of lingering ill feeling, if Portnoy’s celebration of Blodget’s departure is any indication. It remains to be seen how this particular view endorsed by El Presidente is received.
