“I Just Gas Out in Few”: Soccer Legend Megan Rapinoe Was Flabbergasted by Female UFC Fighters ‘Fitness’

In 2014, two of the best soccer stars of USWNT collaborated with UFC female fighters. The aim? To speak and share their experiences in their individual sports. The two athletes from soccer’s side were none other than Megan Rapinoe and Sydney Leroux. And, Rapinoe had tremendous respect for the UFC girls!

In “The Ultimate Fighter”, Rapinoe was inquisitive about what it took for these fighters to be in that sport. Rapinoe was full of adoration for these tough women and their fitness. She remarked, “It’s crazy to be able to be that fit and then to have the technical skill set and then to actually like fight with that as well.” The fighters also remarked that, as women in super challenging sports, their skills are often undermined. And who else could better know about this than Rapinoe herself?
Megan being an Olympian and a two-time World cup winner is no stranger to fitness. But she communicated about how incredible the cardiovascular capabilities of the UFC ladies were. Rapinoe was not afraid to own up that she couldn’t compete to achieve fitness like that. She said, “I have like so much respect for you guys too. Cause I know, every time I even like wrestle with someone, I’m like. You know and you’re like, I just gas out in few seconds.”
