Finishing 7th in the last season isn’t something the UCLA Bruins women’s volleyball team is used to. Last year hasn’t been one for the books, but senior Audrey Pak has had a pretty decent year playing for the fourth season for the Bruins. This year, with the Pac-12 season still early into the season, Pak is looking to be the unexpected bearer of good news for the fans.

In a social media post, Pak has revealed an intention to continue her journey as a Bruin for the next season as well. The 2023-24 season started only last month and Pak has already raked up 61 assists. With 5 kills, she’s also shown her attacking prowess and her return will bolster the squad’s confidence.

UCLA volleyball retains star setter

The Bruins have six regular season championships under their belt. They also won the NCAA title in 2006. Understandably, the blues have established themselves as one of the most looked-up names in the country. And now, it looks like Audrey Pak is also convinced about the potential that the team has to offer. UCLA Women’s Volleyball showcased the news on their X writing, “Pak Attack is BACK for one more year!”

The accompanying picture in the post highlighted Pak’s statement where she stated that she can’t wait to get back to work as she will be returning to UCLA for her 5th year. She said that her time in Los Angeles has been an honor and she’s in no hurry to leave behind what is dear to her.

Audrey also said that she’s gained an incredible amount of knowledge and wisdom from the training stuff. The knowledge claimed by Pak helped her give her best when it came to contributing to rebuilding the UCLA culture from the ground up. With all these churning, fans anticipate another exciting volleyball season.

Volleyball fans look ahead to an exciting season

While the NCAA volleyball season rages on, volleyball players from around the country have other things to look forward to in 2024 as well. The Olympic Games are just around the corner and Team USA will hope to retain its dominant position on the grandest stage of them all.

On the other hand, PVF’s League One Volleyball (LOVB) will be starting at the beginning of the next year. The newly announced professional women’s volleyball league would look to give former collegiate volleyball players a chance to relive those glory days while being able to make the most of the large volleyball fanbase in the USA.
