Rebekah Allick prefers her teammates in Nebraska volleyball most. One day, she would suggest coach John Cook take up Merritt Beason into the team, and the next day, she would pair up with the latter like the best mate. Well, can you guess what she said in the press? She revealed the reason, saying, “They’re my why.” That’s her character in the Huskers’ camp, after all. But it doesn’t signify everything.

Meet Nebraska Volleyball Star Rebekah Allick’s family
Born on January 26, 2004, Rebekah Allick has a deep-rooted bond with sports. Her mother Melvin Allick’s college career had been spent playing basketball for Northwest Missouri State. However, the impression is still there in two of Rebekah’s siblings. How? Her twin sister, Hannah, plays volleyball at Missouri Southern. Josiah, her brother, is on the basketball team for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Additionally, Rebekah’s uncle Bill Ziegelbein once played collegiate football in Nebraska. So the nerve with the sports has always been there. Still, coming from the six-sibling group, Rebekah has had some special memories.

First, because of her mother’s motivation, Rebekah shifted to the student-athlete program at Nebraska University. In one of her interactions, the 20-year-old said, “I’m really grateful for my mom, who was a student-athlete at Northwest Missouri State. She told me that I was being paid to do what everyone else was paying to do. She knew I was going to give 100% in the gym and said they should not have to babysit me in a classroom.” Those words ultimately motivated her to find a balance in both academics and volleyball. That would demand she push the limits. Yet she was glued to the plan and achieved success. Now, as far as the memory of her father is concerned, Allick has a few more things.
As per her, her father, Colleen Ziegelbein, used to call her by the name Rebekah. That’s why the name is special to her. Now in her career, the Nebraskan has some enviable numbers.
