This season of the Big Ten Volleyball Championships 2023 has been a hit as it offered ample opportunities for participants to shine on the world volleyball court. The highlight of this season of the Big Ten Championship was probably the arch-rivalry between Wisconsin and Nebraska. However, some other teams also made headlines. 

Team Penn State is among the best-playing teams on the volleyball court. It secured a rank above Wisconsin’s volleyball team at the championships and is making waves with an undefeated streak of 5 wins. It added another remarkable win over Maryland’s volleyball team. In addition to this, the recent success also kept the hopes of spectators for NCAA qualification alive. 

Epic battle gives valuable points to Penn State 

In a recent showdown, team Penn State embarked on a journey to dominate the opponent Maryland. Soon after entering the arena, team Penn State started to score, making it difficult for Maryland to clinch points. It marked a win over Maryland with an exceptional 3-0 score eventually. The recent tweet by Penn State’s Women’s volleyball was captioned as, “𝓦𝓮𝓭𝓷𝓮𝓼𝓭𝓪𝔂 – Sweep 𝓣𝓱𝓾𝓻𝓼𝓭𝓪𝔂 –  𝓕𝓻𝓲𝓭𝓪𝔂 – Ohio State“

Despite performing well in the first set, scoring highest in a set today, team Maryland was defeated by 20-25. In the following sets, Maryland lost the hope of winning the match, which consecutively deteriorated their performance on the court. Eventually, team Maryland was defeated in all the game sets by 20-25, 9-25, and 12-25. With this win, Penn State also secured points that can be added to achieve its aim to clinch a spot in the NCAA Volleyball tournament. But, it is more challenging than it seems to be. 

Will Penn State qualify for the NCAA Tournament?

As the various conferences taking place are concluding, teams are playing to clinch a spot in the upcoming NCAA tournament. Majorly, teams are looking for the automatic qualifiers at 32 conferences to take up 32 spots at the NCAA Tournament. Team Nebraska became the first Big Ten Volleyball Conference 2023 volleyball team to take up a spot.

Team Penn State is looking forward to securing a berth following the same path. But, the team has to outperform the remaining teams in the game to pursue their aim. Moreover, Penn State is required to undergo intense training and re-strategize its game to emerge victorious. This can be done in the coming match against Team Ohio State. However, the question remains: Will team Penn State Qualify for the upcoming NCAA Tournament?
