Reilly Heinrich has been one of the most contributing players to the Longhorns’ Big 12 win this year. Her skilled blocks helped the Texas team keep their opponents at bay. However, it seems that Heinrich might have other plans for her future than just helping the Longhorns clinch another NCAA title. In a recent post on X, the College VBall Transfers leaked the news of Heinrich being in the market in the transfer portal and ready to find a new mascot to get behind.

The Texas native has spent three years in Austin and has been named to the All-Big 12 first team twice. Her 100% reception rate in 2022 set new benchmarks in collegiate volleyball. Her role as a Longhorn wasn’t surprising, given her father Steve was also a scholarship student at the University of Texas who garnered a lot of adoration as part of the baseball team.

One take at a time

Growing up, I didn’t really have an interest in Olympic sports, but it was always something intriguing. As I found the means and the opportunity to explore its world, I found sports like volleyball, and track & field to be something that had tons to offer instead of just scoring through kills and sprinting toward the finish line. Whether it is Nebraska Huskers dominating the court or Noah Lyles maintaining his winning spree on the tracks, these two sports never fail to serve adrenaline rush to their spectators.
