Logan Eggleston is one of the best players to emerge from the NCAA Women’s Volleyball. The Texas Longhorns veteran extended her collegiate career and turned into a professional player after her final season with Texas in 2021. Although she was hungry for more after winning the 2022 national championship, she will soon get a chance to play for her home team once again.

Logan Eggleston had been playing for a Turkish professional team after ending her tenure with the Texas Longhorns. While she can’t go back to becoming a Longhorn, a social media post recently announced a homecoming move by Eggleston. Her comeback as a player of Texas also comes with the news of the player bagging a grand NCAA honor.

Logan Eggleston to play as a Texan once again

The former Texas Longhorns player added a new tweet via her official X account. The tweet carried the caption, “Coming home!!!! So excited to be a part of @leagueonevb & @LOVBATX!” Apparently, Logan Eggleston is returning to Texas to join the pro team of Austin Volleyball. This is big news, as Logan Eggleston has established herself as one of the absolute best volleyball players from Texas.

This will also bolster the chart ratings of the League One Volleyball tournament. The prestigious league will begin a new season soon and will also be featuring the Texas Longhorns megastar. Logan Eggleston was the 2021 National Player of the Year and won multiple AVCA and Big XII honors.

Playing the outside hitter position for the Texas Longhorns, she averaged 3.9 kills per set across five collegiate seasons. Her value as a player won her these titles and also won her a ticket back home. But, she has won something even better because of her personality. The NCAA just awarded her with its topmost honor for her dedication to the community of Texas-Austin.

A few weeks ago, Logan Eggleston was nominated in the top 30 candidates for the 2023 NCAA Woman of the Year award. Today, the humble Texas Longhorns veteran has rightfully earned this title. The announcement was made on 11 January 2024 and her parents received the prestigious award on her behalf.

The Texas Longhorns player had started several initiatives when she was elected as the President of the student-athlete advisory. In her tenure of two years, she launched several developmental and equity ventures for underprivileged and marginalized students. Now that she will be back in Texas, Eggleston will surely look forward to both playing for her home team and helping her community members.
