However, it’s different this time, and the Badgers are feeling it. Ahead of the tournament, the Badgers players were observed in a breezy mood as they showed off the lasting impact of Coach Sheffield.

Now, with the Badgers once again storming into the regional semis, coach Sheffield had nothing but praising words for his players. The Wisconsin team took down Oregon State with a 3-1 win, and the head coach delivered a speech to keep the players invigorated for their upcoming tussle against the Texas Longhorns.

Coach Sheffield shares his feelings post-match

In a video clip shared by the official account of the 2021 NCAA champions, the Badgers players and coach Sheffield’s elation can be observed. Captioned “MISSION: Tampa“, the post on X opens with an old voice recording emphasizing the importance of executing a plan. Coach Sheffield can be seen giving out specific instructions to his players ahead of the match against Oregon only for Franklin and Co. to execute the undertaking in a determined fashion.

After dropping the third set, the Badgers turned things around quickly and won the match in the fourth set. After the match, coach Sheffield, as seen in the post, shows the players with praise to keep them motivated for the remaining games. The head coach joined his players to vehemently chant “Final 4” in the briefing room. Then Sheffield went ahead to hail his players as “gutsy” for their determination to not let the ball touch the ground.

In their second match, the Badgers once again swept aside Miami. The Wisconsin women’s volleyball team once again proved their superiority in their third match against Penn State with a decisive 3-1 win.
