WATCH: Usain Bolt Makes Young Fans’ Day During Charity Run At Expo 2020 Dubai

Dubai Expo 2020, one of the biggest trade expos in the world, kicked off on October 1 2021 and will continue till March 2022. Recently, Olympic Legend Usain Bolt visited the expo and was seen having a fun time with his fans.

The 8-time Olympic winner and legend is the face of track and field with fans all over the world, and Dubai is no exception. People turned up in hordes to get one glimpse of this great athlete.

The very much loved athlete also did a charity run at the expo, which was organised to help raise funds for a rehabilitation program.

Gatorade and Expo 2020 Dubai’s Sports, Fitness, and Wellbeing Hub organized the Family run to raise funds for their rehabilitation program. Bolt was joined by other celebrities, such as Emirati sprinter Hamda Hosani, who has 17 Olympic medals to her name.

Bolt was pumped to be a part of this expo and take part in the good cause.

“It has been a pleasure visiting Expo 2020 Dubai and learning more about how Dubai has reimagined the future of mobility, including make it easy and accessible,” he said.

Usain Bolt spent the remaining day interacting with his fans, posing with a pair of twins, speaking to them, and ending the meeting with a fist bump. He most certainly made their day! The father of the two boys took to Twitter to express his excitement.

The funds raised from the event will go towards the Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for People of Determination. This will be to support their endless efforts of rehabilitation and support for specially-abled children.

“The Family Run was a great example of how sports can bring a community together for a good cause. Students of determination from Al Noor and Hamda Hosani joined today’s run,” added the Olympic champion.

Aamer Sheikh, President and General Manager, MENA, and Pakistan of PepsiCo, revealed the motive behind the run and tie up with athletes like Bolt.

“Through our partnership with the Sports Fitness and Wellbeing Hub, Usain Bolt, and, of course, the active citizens of Dubai, we’ve been able to raise money for Al Noor”.

People around the world don’t just like Bolt because of his performance but also because of his personality. The athlete always takes out time to interact with his fans and appreciates them.
