A different approach to the Paris Olympics

Talking about the Olympics, the reigning Olympic Champion David Taylor talked about how this Olympics he will be using a different approach than the last time. In the podcast he talked about everything, every decision he made, and everything he did revolved around the Olympics. He had a simple approach back then, train and wrestle. In the podcast, he said, “It was not a pressure thing, that is just how my mind works”. Now, as simple as this approach might seem, it worked for David. He won the gold medal at 86 kg in Tokyo Olympic 2020.

Recently winning the World Championship in his weight division, David talked about Paris and how this time the approach is more inclined towards fun. His ticket to the Olympics has been approved with a big win. And this time, instead of revolving his every decision around the Olympics, he is just going to have fun. He will do his thing and just try to stand at the top of the podium with the gold medal for the USA. With the recent win at the World Championship, he is more closer to the podium than ever.

Wrestling, training, and other variables

The 2023 World Championship was a great success for David Taylor. But this time, it was much more difficult. Talking about training and different variables that affect him, he said the training was much better last year. With time, extra variables add up to it, having a family, owning a business, having a life, and looking forward to new things. All of these variables have an impact on the training, according to Taylor. So one cannot go with the same approach as last time.
