Has Pistol Pete cheered on Bo Bassett enough for his next round in his college career? Well, for U-17 Wrestling champion Bo, many are raising their hands. Bo Bassett made his way onto the world wrestling stage while at Bishop McCort. Since his first notable bout against New Jersey’s Anthony Know, Bo has been seen as a rising star in the arena. Now, after setting a benchmark at Super 32 and clinching the “Who’s the Number One” title, there is speculation about his college career starting point. It’s clear that Bo will take his time in choosing the right college for him, as he already understands how the right institution can help him achieve his aspirations.

According to his parents, Bo liked to be pushed and challenged during his childhood, which led to him changing schools during COVID and moving to McCort. This pattern is repeating itself now as he searches for the college that best fits him. Recently, the unconventional wrestling talent passed on Northern Iowa and paid a visit to David Taylor in Stillwater, sparking rumors among Bo Bassett’s fan base.

Wrapping this year’s commitments, Bo Bassett sets eye for the next year

Before Bo Bassett finalized his school, he had already visited Iowa, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Penn State and Virginia Tech. And he is wrapping up his classes before next year. “I loaded up on classes this year specifically. So next year I don’t have to do as many with just different credits,” Bo said in Wrestling Changed My Life (Wrestling Podcast). He visited coach David Taylor there. That visit entices many. And why it should not be. While talking in the 500th episode of the podcast, Bo said, “It’s kinda like my plan, kind of what I wanna do to help myself develop You know, kind of just become part of that team. So that’s kinda like my plan. I wanna be committed before next year.” However, he didn’t specifically mention what college he is going to choose. “So I can spend some time wherever I’m gonna be to really fit in and, and really start working in that room. But I think that that’s really my only timeline. I have visits.” Before Bo Basette stepped foot in his college career, he said that his family would take the final decision— ”It’s really tough. It’s a family decision though. It’s not me. And ultimately it’s, it’s what he wants. So I’m really excited to see where that takes me.”
