A social media post broke the disheartening news on social media and shared the shining legacy of Mike Krause.

America loses a bright and shining wrestling gem
Coach Krause incorporated a new approach to teaching wrestling to young aspiring wrestlers, dreaming of becoming world champions. Krause brought an infectious charm into the room that enabled everyone to grasp his teachings better and faster. In fact, according to his website, the coach mentored students with skills that helped them both on and off the mat. A social media post on X revealed the utterly sad news of one of America’s greatest wrestling coaches’ passing.

The role of a mentor goes beyond the sport and transcends into the growth of strength and character.

Good and healthy coaching leads to wrestlers who consistently put up a good fight and come out stronger. A similar display of excellence was recently presented before the US by Cornell University’s Big Red wrestling. The university recently revealed that America’s six world wrestling championship medalists from 2022 to 2023 were trained at its premises.
