Forrest Molinari originally wrestled and competed in the 65kg weight class. However, since 65kg isn’t an Olympic weight class, Molinari switched to the 68kg category. In 2022, both Soleymi Caraballo and Molinari emerged with gold medals at the Pan American Championship in Acapulco. But, the Venezuelan’s gold medal turned to silver in her own weight class when Molinari battled her in Santiago.

Forrest Molinari had also tried to make the switch back in 2020 at the Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin. Her maiden effort earned her a bronze medal, after which she continued to train hard. Her gold medal in Santiago comes after her golden triumph in Buenos Aires at the 2023 Pan American Championship.

With four gold medals across two different weight classes, Forrest Molinari will look forward to achieving greater heights in wrestling.
