In the past several months, wrestler Jason Nolf’s life has taken a serious turn. The 2024 year started for him with the prestigious USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week. Later in the Jordan Bryce Center, he defeated the Olympic gold medalist Jordan Burroughs in the 74-kg weight category to face close friend Kyle Dake in the final.

However, a defeat from him sent Jason Nolf in moving to try the MMA career. And since his landing in the grappling and moves, the 3-time NCAA champion has experienced nothing less than a fairy tale. From the pages of that fairy tale, he is girding himself now to take $1 million prize money at home.

Jason Nolf is all set to enter the Craig Jones Invitational, the jiu-jitsu contest with prize money of $1 million. He will double his effort as the ADCC (Abu Dhabi Combat Club) contest is also on his schedule in August. However, the wrestler seems to be deeply immersed in preparing for these back-to-back contests.

Keeping a tab on that, recently he has moved to a professional MMA homebody Izaak Michell to tick every box in his time in the learning time. The news of their pairing has come through an IG share where the caption describes the ultimatum, “ADCC gold and 1 mill in the bag”. Notably, Jason Nolf has crossed his primary juggernaut of jiu-jitsu successfully this month.

In his BJJ debut, at the Paradigm Open 3 on June 3, Jason defeated Andrew Simmons from the B-Team. Hailing from the same background, Simmons tried to overpower the Winnie Dixie fame wrestler with his experience in grappling. But with the perfect combination of talent and endurance, Nolf was nowhere near being subdued by his opponent.

Ultimately, he won the duel after inflicting an arm-triangle choke on Andrew Simmons. Since then, a possibility appeared on the horizon for Nolf to take his fight to another height. Now his registering for both ADCC and CJI proves the talisman is looking forward to squeezing out everything, riding on his sweet period. But at the same time, some more facts are present in the vicinity to add to the intrigues.

ADCC vs CJI- Jason Nolf is turning on the heat

When it comes to taking out the best jiu-jitsu contests in Las Vegas, two names draw the most attention – ADCC and CJI. Starting in 1998, ADCC has shown the path to many contests of the same color. Whereas CJI holds the title of bringing the first purse holding million dollar prize money into the sport. Compared to that, ADCC still continues with its $10,000 top prize. So as a result, the contest has now started to lose its charm. On the other hand, CJI has witnessed a growing number of entries into the fold.

This year, Jason Nolf has registered himself under the 80-kg category. Allegedly, he will enter the ADCC in the 77-kg category. Thus, he will keep his feet on both contests, furthering his introduction into the field. But to make it a reality, he will have to carry out a humongous challenge.

The CJI is set to roll on August 16 and 17 in Nevada. Meanwhile, ADCC will follow the contest on August 17 and 18 in the same town, almost overlapping CJI. But Jason Nolf has targeted both contests, and that shows his desperation to make a place in MMA fighting. His latest engagement with the professional grappler also adds volumes in displaying his mindset in the newly embraced choice. Now his fans will want his double crown victory in the town of celebration and fame.
