The Sophomore from Northern Lebanon is making waves in the wrestling community. At 107-pound weight class, the champion has already won consecutive AA state titles. The wrestler ended the season with a perfect 48-0 and became the first wrestler to win two state titles for Northern Lebanon. He is more experienced than before and has become a better wrestler. He is ready to take the wrestling stage as he makes a move.

The Wrestling pro defended his PIAA Class 2A State title by defeating Dominic Deputy of the Chestnut Ridge, scoring three takedowns in a 6-1 victory. With this list of accolades, the wrestler has ventured into a new territory lately.

Adding a two-time champion to team

Pound-for-pound wrestler Aaron Seidel has been picked up by Virginia Tech Wrestling for the class of 2025. With a career record of 97-1, Seidel has won two Pennsylvania state titles and NHSCA state title at 106-pound. He has been the third commit for the Hokies Wrestling. The PA Power Wrestling shared the news of Seidel committing to Virginia Tech Wrestling on their X account. The post reads, Commit breakdown: Northern Lebanon’s Aaron Seidel to @HokiesWrestling”.

Aaron Seidel has grown through experience and in just two years he has changed from a freshman to a wrestling giant. His coach Russell Wallace said in an interview with Lebcosports.com that, “Coaching a kid like Aaron is fun and enjoyable because he is the type of kid that is willing to do the things he needs to do to be the best. Most things about wrestling are not fun so finding people that love the hard parts makes them easy to coach because they enjoy that challenge.”  Aaron has a strong mindset and knows about the work and commitment he has to put into the sport. This is one of the reasons he is a top-ranking wrestler.

The future of collegiate wrestling

His performance has made it very clear that Aaron Seidel is one of those committed wrestlers, who knows what it takes to dominate the game. His performance throughout the season has been one of the primary reasons for the pick. However, for Seidel, wrestling is something beyond fights and accolades. His passion for the sport probably surpasses it all.

Speaking on his love for the sport, Seidel had said in an interview, “It helps you become a stronger person in life, it is a very tough sport that makes you a tougher person. I love the hard work that comes with it, and meeting new people at all the tournaments I go to.”  This love that he has for wrestling is something that is going to help him reach his peak potential in the game. The future of wrestling is bright for Hokies Wrestling and Aaron Seidel.
