From being an NFL star to starring in a reality TV show, Travis Kelce appears to have done it all. Playing tail end for the Kansas City Chiefs, Kelce is a two-time Super Bowl winner. He is now reportedly dating singer Taylor Swift. After the public got their hands on that titbit, Kelce has had to deal with more scrutiny than usual.

That turn of events is causing him just a tinge of frustration. As revealed on the New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce thinks the attention is a little too much. The Chiefs’ star revealed details of his pursuit of Taylor Swift on that episode. Kelce hosts the podcast in question with his older brother Jason, currently of the Philadelphia Eagles. Stephen A. Smith, on his show First Take, claimed that Kelce had forfeited the right to complain.

Smith posited that Travis Kelce needs to call a halt to his complaints. According to the 55-year-old, Kelce was the one who made details about the budding romance public. No one would have learned of it if not for him, Smith added. Smith noted Kelce ought not to point the finger of blame at the NFL. He said, “… I love Travis Kelce. That’s my dawg. Stop, bro. And your brother … Travis Kelce, stop. Bro, you did this. Not the NFL …”

Stephen A. Smith also dropped shade on Taylor Swift. He called her a marketing genius, particularly for promoting her album during an NFL game. The pop star also has the movie of her tour coming out soon. Six movies have changed their release dates so as not to clash, according to Forbes magazine. Smith said, “… What about Taylor Swift? She’s sitting up there promoting her new album during a Super Bowl match here. You being at NFL games, that ain’t helping you? Don’t you have a movie coming out? Didn’t you make 6 billion with the concert? You know what you’re doing. She’s a marketing genius …”

Stephen A. Smith admitted many were using this story for their own benefit. He once again pointed out that the buck stops with Kelce. Smith listed Kelce as one primary benefactor of that choice. He added, “… Come on, bro. It’s all in fun. Maybe it’s a little excessive. People trying to capitalize off of it, attention-wise, monetizing it. I get it. But the instigator in all of this was you, my brother. I ain’t mad at you about it now and it wasn’t a bad decision. It has seemed to be very beneficial to you, more power to you. But you did it.”
