The couple started dating only during the period when everyone was locked inside their homes. Therefore, when they met after the pandemic, the two had much new information to share. 

Biles: The big name went unnoticed

It was March 2020 when the couple met online and decided to establish something meaningful together. Five months later, they took to Instagram and announced their relationship by posting a lovely picture of themselves. Moreover, the two officially committed to each other and got engaged this February.

Initially, the Texans’ safety refused to believe that she was famous, despite the millions of followers on her Instagram profile. This misconception continued until the day he saw one of her Uber Eats advertisements. 

Another instance was when they went out for ice cream and fans yelped after noticing Biles. That was when Owens could estimate her fame and prominence.

“Oh my God!” fans shouted. “It’s Simone Biles!”

“They know who you are?” a surprised Owens said.

“I’ve been telling you!” said the Olympic champion. “A lot of people know who I am!”
