The excitement surrounding the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs is going up with each passing game. The eight teams in the fray are battling it hard to make it to the semifinals. Among them are the Edmonton Oilers, who are in the driving seat in their playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights. Yesterday, they had a comfortable 3-0 win against a Vegas side lacking in confidence. While it was a smooth outcome for the side from Canada, not everything went smoothly in Vegas.

Soon after the game, there were some shocking visuals doing the rounds of social media. The video was about a fight between the fans outside the arena. While the Oilers dominated the game, the home fans weren’t happy with their team’s performance and vented their frustration after the game.

This resulted in a violent altercation between the fans of the opposing teams. The video showed a fan beating another fan with a rod. Additionally, another fan also traded blows with his hand as passers-by saw the altercation and the shocking visual. Although the reason for the brawl isn’t known yet, it appears that it may be a fight between the Oilers and the Golden Knights fans.

He said, “It’s hard to win. But if you start with one at home, a building we have typically played well in, it’s small picture right now. Take care of business Wednesday. Be ready to play. See if you can’t get a lead by playing the right way and having more urgency than them, more desperation. That word now comes into play because if we don’t win, we’re done. There needs to be a level of (desperation) without taking us out of our game. And go from there. We need to win one game three times in a row.”

While the Golden Knights are struggling, the Oilers have shown why they are one of the strong contenders to win the Stanley Cup title. Can the Golden Knights spring a surprise and progress through to the semifinals of the playoffs? Let us know your views in the comments below.
