Recently, in her Instagram story, Lindsey Vonn revealed that she is on a trip to Beaver Creek, Colorado. Nostalgia hits her as she remembers dominating the Birds of Prey race course way back in 2012.

Skiing just fine for the world’s most difficult race course

Lindsey Vonn’s incredible skiing abilities have allowed her to easily break a number of records. She just races easily through difficult race courses, all thanks to the tough training she always went through.

“First time down Birds of Prey since I won in 2012!,” Vonn mentioned in her Instagram story. She was back at the same place, which is also her hometown. Even after a decade, the racetrack gave the legend the same victory aroma.

The Birds of Prey race course in the Beaver Creek Mountains is considered one of the hardest race courses ever. The race course was built by Swiss Olympic downhill gold medalist Bernhard Russi. Back in 2012, Lindsey Vonn came to her hometown and grabbed the prize as she asserted her dominance. The race course was all hers, and no wonder she came back again after a decade to get some nostalgia.

The alpine skiing legend isn’t limited to the sport itself. She is also responsible for motivating a lot of young girls to pursue sports and become icons. Lindsey Vonn’s life is a prominent example of people who, even though they have top skills in something, can go through mental health issues.

All her mental health issues’ major contributors were the injuries she suffered throughout her decorative career. All the fame and winnings did come with a tough price to pay, as her condition was once a lot worse. She did overcome everything with the help of her own will and her family and friends, who always supported her.
