The popularity of equestrian activities is spread far and wide. Content creators on social media often join in on the action by sharing glimpses of their equestrian lives online. Emmie Sperandeo, 27, is a popular TikTok content creator in the equestrian community with the username @steadyrein. The influencer has 1.6 million subscribers, and many of her videos show her interacting with horses and documenting her everyday life. On one such regular day, however, Sperandeo had a life altering accident. A head injury resulted in the equestrian losing all memory about her time as a social media celebrity.
Emmie Sperandeo is now awake from her brain injury, according to a recent social media post by her family. Details of the horrific day of the incident have finally emerged.
What happened to the equestrian enthusiast on the day of the fall?

The 27-year-old was going about her day like any other, when she fell from her horse and struck her head. The fall, which was heard by everyone around her, led to a double skull fracture from the impact, and bleeding ears. As a consequence of the trauma, Sperandeo can only recall events that occurred between seven and fourteen years ago, forgetting everything about her stardom.

Her family members posted a TikTok video updating her followers regarding the situation. The caption said, “Keep on keepin’ on our sweet cowgirl.” The family informed that Sperandeo is now stable enough to be moved out of the Intensive Care Unit. In the neurological unit, she would also participate in speech and physical therapy. There was also a heartbreaking note from her family. While she enjoyed reading the kind words from her supporters, yet tragically, she could not recall any of her time as a celebrity.
The TikTok star’s family has also put up a GoFundMe for the purpose of raising $250,000 to cover the costs of her rehabilitation. By making donations to the fundraiser, and sending her cards with positive messages, supporters can help her recover.
