The NHL game between the Seattle Kraken and the Vancouver Canucks showed why the Canucks were the league’s least popular team. The Canucks’ 6-1 obliteration came at the cost of Kraken center Matthew Beniers. After punching Beniers in the head during the game, Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers made it clear that Beniers wouldn’t be able to play for his team for a while.

The NHL world isn’t having any of this

“Imagine missing your first all star game as a rookie because of this.”

“2 years ago he injured Armia for months on a frustration headshot, score was like 6-2 with 2minutes and 45seconds to go. His punishment for it was a phone call from DOPS, that’s it. We wonder why he still does these things.”

“Seattle has to drop gloves in that situation. Can’t let your rookies get punk’d like that.”
