Falling in love with surfing is risky since surfers are always at the whim of the ocean’s powerful waves. Yet during the years that people have been participating in sports, fans have developed a number of challenges to keep the activity exciting for casual viewers, even when there aren’t any really intense contests. Several surfers, in an effort to maintain a healthy dose of adrenaline, often try to mix it up, by surfing in heels.

A woman could be seen wearing heels while surfing in a video released on YouTube recently by ATLAST. Standing upright on a surfboard while riding an ever-changing wave is a challenge in and of itself. But, this woman has shown, that it is possible to enjoy the sport while challenging yourself.

A new kind of surfing challenge

Big wave surfing, long wave surfing, kite surfing, and many more subgenres make up the vast landscape of the sport. However, it seems that surfing while wearing high heels is a relatively recent phenomenon. Vance Joy’s ‘Clarity’ serves as the soundtrack to the clip in which a lady is seen surfing while wearing heels. At the beginning of the clip, the surfer can be seen wearing a golden swimsuit and white heels while she handles a white surfboard.

The video was short, but it included many brief shots of the lady cruising through the waves while wearing high heels. She does not use a paddle, and while also experimenting with a number of other maneuvers. There were also times when she seemed to be taking her time adapting to the heels, which is understandable given how slick the surfboard’s surface gets when it comes into contact with water. In the title of the YouTube video, ATLAST wrote, “Surfing in heels is a whole new level of bada**”
