Hawaiian surfing prodigy, Nathan Florence, is one of the most staunch surfers who knows his way around big barrels and is a pro at paddling those pinnacles with absolute finesse. However, five months ago, while paddling through a giant slab in Oahu the surfing youtuber broke his back and suffered a lumbar compression fracture.

Nevertheless, just days after the wipeout, Florence went back to his beloved arena and once again came face to face with another giant barrel. In the wake of this, the 29-year-old surfer left many fans worried about his well-being.

Nathan Florence gets folded in the wave in a new video

Like his elder brother John John Florence, Nathan Florence doesn’t participate in the competitive surfing but likes to posts his adventurous blogs on YouTube. Recently on his channel, he uploaded a video captioned, “Fate loves the fearless.” In the video, a huge swell can be seen rising while Nathan Florence tries to maintain his balance in the water. After a few seconds, the surfer flips and loses his balance. Right at that moment, the barrel engulfed the athlete in its embrace. However, the slab didn’t stop there as Florence got picked up and wiped out by the water again.

Although Nate is a workout enthusiast, in an interview with the inertia, the surfer revealed to keep his injuries short, he deadlifts frequently and gives his bones rest when needed. The surfer stated, “Deadlifts are to thank, I believe” he then added, “Just bone that needs healing.” However, many fans reacted with concern over the YouTuber’s new video and also appreciated the surfer for tackling such huge waves.

Many fans flooded the comment section of Surfer with praise and concern. Tweaking the title of the YouTube video, one penned, “Fate Kills the fearless“. Another fan admired the surfer’s love for his passion and said, “That’s what you call real tough love.” One fan appreciated the photographer and Florence’s talent and said, “I lost track of the many times I replayed.” the fan added, “The surfer is brave., and props to the photographer.”

A fan also respected Florence’s skill and wrote, “That had to hurt bro! Much respect.” Moreover, one fan talked about the wave wipeout in the comments section “Might be the wickedest wipeout I’ve ever seen. That head dip, brutal.”

Hopefully, the surfer survived the barrel and did not suffer any injuries. Surfing runs in the blood of the Florence family, but the fans hope the surfer will be more cautious next time and not suffer any more injuries. In the meantime, the fans expect to see more content from the YouTuber.
