Magnus Carlsen gives shocks!

In a fun tweet shared by Carlsen back in August 2022, he’s seen holding two buttons. When pressed, these buttons gave electric shocks to those playing in front of him.

The players at the receiving end were Askild Bryn and David Howell. Both of them were enjoying a game of chess and they were seen getting an electric shock at each wrong move that they made. They called this the electric shock chess. Funnily, Askild Bryn is getting many more shocks than David Howell. Also, Bryn took a lot of time to play his moves. Most of the shocks that he got were due to excessive time taken for the moves, which Carlsen doesn’t seem to like.

Considering his record-winning streak, he has around 800 thousand followers on Twitter, and hence, the video received a massive response from his followers. It got around 5.7K likes.

Carlsen is a football fan too

Carlsen is a huge fan of football, and Real Madrid CF is his favorite club. Thus, chess isn’t his only love. He also follows the Premier League along with playing fantasy football. On becoming the world chess champion, he was presented with a chance to take an honorary kick-off in a La Liga game between Real Valladolid and Real Madrid.
