AJ Ferrari has been going through a wild ride over the last few months. After the freak disqualification from last year’s Soldier Salute, Ferrari has found it difficult to find himself a permanent camp. With Iowa holding on to its reservations about giving him a spot in the Hawkeyes’ wrestling team, the former NCAA D1 wrestling champ hinted at a possible future in the MMA. And now, with every passing day, it looks like his octagon dream is shaping up brick by brick.

However, transitioning to something like mixed martial arts isn’t an easy ask for any athlete from any background. On the other hand, Ferrari’s fans are pretty well aware of his determination to pursue something he sets his eyes upon. With that in mind, Ferrari’s latest step toward the MMA ring will definitely put a smile on many fans’ faces.

AJ Ferrari eyeing untold riches in the octagon?

In a recent Instagram post, “Mr. Fast Switch” can be seen training hard for the challenges up ahead. While he is a formidable fighter in his own right, a little help from his buddies won’t slow down his efforts by any means, as highlighted in the post captioned Motivational Monday“. In the attached video, Ferrari can be seen training with active marine Jordan More, who himself is waiting to make his own MMA debut in the coming days.

Discipline > Motivation, noted Ferrari in his post, before elaborating on how working towards your goals is far more rewarding than simply talking about the same. To establish his thought, the 2021 Big Ten gold medalist shared a quote from the Bible: All hard work leads to profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.

While Ferrari is seen getting his punches and kicks in, he doesn’t miss the opportunity to playfully take down More now and then. While his experience as a nuanced freestyle wrestler will certainly help AJ find his footing in mixed martial arts quicker than many others, he will also have to meander around many obstacles that life continues to throw at him. This is not the only instance of him grappling undulatingly for a chance to usurp glory in the octagon.
