Gretchen and Alex Walsh are a sister duo like no other. Elder sister Alex Walsh has represented the USA in Tokyo, winning silver in the 200m medley thanks to her efforts, however, this year her 21-year-old sister and rising seems set to earn her Olympic medal in Paris. However, besides fame and renown, the talented sister duo has also attracted multiple sponsorship deals.

In February 2024 French-Italian competitive swimwear brand, Arena announced their partnership with the dynamic Walsh sisters. Arena hoped that the sisters would represent the brand at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Last month, the swimming sisters sealed the deal. Alex Walsh punched her ticket for her second Olympics, while Gretchen Walsh made history by setting a world record in 100m fly at the Olympic Trials.

Arena became the Walsh sisters’ sponsors shortly after launching their latest and greatest POWERSKIN Primo. Following the announcement, Alex Walsh and her sister appeared in the photoshoot by the brand wearing the world’s first tensoelastic swimsuits. Utilizing the company’s patented Hyperforce fabric the suits promise 100% more compression than other top-tier suits.

“Alex and Gretchen exemplify the dedication to excellence that arena stands for… Their achievements speak volumes, and we are proud to have them as part of the arena family,” said Mark Pinger, Arena’s U.S. General Manager. Besides their deal with the global swimwear company, Gretchen Walsh and her elder sister have also secured a sponsorship with a popular energy drink brand.

On February 29, Alex Walsh announced that she and her 7x 2024 NCAA Championships gold medal winner sister had partnered with Celsius. “We are so excited to announce our Team Celsius partnership!… We are grateful for their support heading into this summer!” wrote the swimmer. So far, it’s been an exceptional summer of competitions for the Paris-bound sisters. However, we can’t miss their first sponsor.

The first brand that came knocking on Gretchen and Alex Walsh’s door

The Walsh sisters have been collaborating with SwimOutlet since the fall of 2022. “Our first joint one was SwimOutlet, and they have a group there that is just so supportive — like overwhelmingly kind and fun people,” Gretchen Walsh said after launching their Star-Spangled Summer Collection in collaboration with the brand in April 2024.

SwimOutlet is the biggest U.S. online swim retail company and Sporti is their swimwear line. Alex Walsh and her sister’s first collection with the brand was named Sporti x Alex + Gretchen Walsh Collection. Among all other sponsors, SwimOutlet has been their longest. The sisters hope to foster similarly long and productive relationships with all their sponsors.

Alex Walsh and Gretchen Walsh have already struck successful partnerships with three brands. Who knows how many more offers they’ll receive if they both deliver medal-winning performances in Paris?
