The Spaniard, who has been ruled out of play for several months due to a terrible knee injury, is currently training with Manchester United. United boss Louis van Gaal gave Valdes his Barcelona debut and has happily allowed him to train with the Red Devils in order to work on his fitness and bring his knee up to scratch.

Catalan papers report that United are set to offer the shotstopper an 18-month contract to play backup to current star David De Gea. This does leave us scratching our heads about Lindegaard, however, and possibly even a De Gea exit, although the latter seems unlikely.
