Valorant: Former CS:GO Pro Triumphant at Valorant?

The world of FPS games has never seen this unpredictability. While CS:GO has been dominating charts it has received a lot of criticism for its anti-cheat system. Valorant on the other has enjoyed a lot of fame and popularity since its launch. A lot of professional CS:GO players have left the game to play Valorant. They believe it is one of the best tactical games to have been developed. Riot Games also came forward with a solid anti-cheat system called Vanguard which has taken the industry by a storm. Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas started his career as a professional CS:GO player back in 2012. The Spanish player joined multiple organizations before ending his stint as a CS:GO player with Cloud9.

CS:GO to Valorant

He is not the first player to have made the move to Valorant. Valorant has been very successful. There are also rumors around the former IGL of Team Liquid to make a shift to Valorant. However, that is very uncertain right now and doesn’t have any concrete base. G2 signed Mixwell and announced their arrival into Valorant. He was announced as the captain of the roster. G2 has been responsible for bringing one of the finest competitive players into the fold.

“The goal is to be the best Valorant team in the world and I want to be the best player in the game, have fun representing the fans around the world, and I am sure we can do it together,” said Mixwell.

Ignition Series x Mandatory. GG Cup

The tournament was restricted to European teams. It took place from 31st July-2nd August. There were 32 teams and the process of moving on to the next round was based on single elimination. So,  the players had to play every game as it was their last because it could’ve been. Mixwell took to Twitter to share the developments of the series. Winning the Mandatory.gg Cup was their consecutive Ignition Series win, adding to an enthralling number of 4 series wins. They beat Bonk, a Swedish team in the final. The tournament was based on a single bracket of elimination. Every match had a lot at stake. With a brilliant overall performance, G2 never looked in any kind of danger. They also finished first in the WePlay! Invitational and Vitality European Open both of which were held on an online platform.
