Riot Games launched an era-defining FPS game with Valorant last year. It was the first game in a long while that went head-to-head with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Eventually, it also stole most of the spotlight from CS: GO. Many CS: GO players have already jumped ship, and others continue to follow.

For many pro players, Valorant might fill the gaps that are wide open in CS: GO. However, the game is still far from perfect. From the professional community, there are often many criticisms about how Riot can improve the game. Currently, a lot of players play it for the lack of a better alternative.

Riot Games needs to tweak a few features to make Valorant perfect

Liquid Scream was one of the first players to switch to Valorant when the FPS game came out. He has been religiously playing the game and has come out on top as one of the best pros out there. However, he is constantly upset with certain features of the game.

In a recent tweet, ScreaM compiled a list of things he feels are wrong with the game. Fortunately, according to him, if Riot ends up fixing all of these, Valorant could become a perfect game.

Topping the list of his complaints is the slow movement speed in the game. There is no running option, which makes it difficult to dodge gunfights, especially with the flinch which makes up his second complaint. Previously, on multiple occasions, ScreaM has also criticized the run and gun prevalent in the game.

Players argue the game doesn’t require a lot of skill

All the criticism surrounding Valorant is that the game is too easy. With the high running accuracy and the unstable abilities, it is more based on luck than skill.

Therefore, ScreaM argues that if Riot fixes all the issues, it would require much more skill than it currently does. However, climbing up the rank ladder is already quite hard. Therefore, if the gameplay becomes harder, Riot will also have to balance the ranked system.

Clearly, all around changes are necessary. It is definitely a manageable feat for Riot once it identifies the areas that need improvement. ScreaM hopes all these changes come within the next patch itself. That is very little time for major revamps. Therefore, we can expect the changes to arrive down the line, but not anytime soon.
