Valorant’s new episode might be closer than fans are expecting. Just like the various Acts, the new episode might have a fresh agent too, and Riot have done a perfect job teasing it. Fans know Valorant for teasing its Agents through the Battle Pass, more famously the tier 48.

Developers Sean “Oniram” Marino and Preeti Khanolkar recently worked together on a blog post. The post talked about the ideas and inspiration behind the creation of Valorant’s Battle Passes. However, they also ended their post with an Easter Egg for their fans.

The section titled ‘Episode 2 Teases’ had a photo of a dead clock. Additionally, the section had a single sentence that read, “Oh, you made it this far. How do we put this nicely…”

While the developers ended the post with just a photo and a sentence, fans have already put on their thinking caps. Many have carefully examined everything from the Act III to look for further leaks and connections. Naturally, the first clue had to be in Tier 48 of the Battle Pass.

The tier features a dog tag on the card that reads, “memento mori.” The term is Latin for ‘an object kept as a reminder of the inevitability of death’. It appears that Valorant has gone old school with this one. Additionally, the player card also features an hourglass, which has led fans to believe that the new agent is connected to both time and death.

Fan theories have also taken the Act III map – Icebox under scrutiny. The unique art on the map and certain out-of-place things make players think of them as potential leaks. The map looks like some sort of laboratory conducting secret experiments. In one of the containers, players can see a samurai which makes them guess the theme of the next agent.

Since Riot hasn’t offered anything more after the blog post, everything that fans have are mere speculations. However, these speculations have been right in the past so players can have these leaks on good authority.
