Valorant is one of those games right now that can brag about its balanced gameplay, both in terms of its arsenal and agents. It’s a healthy sign that the gameplay meta keeps changing every now and then. It shows that the elements of the game have not yet run the risk of saturation.

The abilities are distributed uniformly amongst agents, so as to prevent specific abilities and agents emerging objectively more powerful than the others. However, there are times when specific agents dominate the meta more than the others.

Note that each agent has unique functions in a match, which makes it difficult to compare them. But depending on how effective they are in their respective positions, here is our pick for the Top-3 agents in the game.

Top 3 best agents in Valorant currently

Brimstone

Brimstone is not essentially an attacker, but more of a support fragger. His character class is ‘Controller’. His smoke drops help to provide cover and misguide the opponents about possible entry points.

Brimstone’s abilities make him an agent essential in holding ground. His abilities are more static compared to others. For example, the molly/’incendiary’ ability, being particularly strong, helps the attacking side to secure a spike against opponents. Not to forget his STIM Beacon ability that grants players rapid-fire while it lasts.

In addition to this, there is his devastating Ult ability called Orbital Strike. This ability releases a huge laser beam from the ground, which covers a big radius and deals heavy damage to players caught in it.

Overall, in the right hands, Brimstone is capable of holding the fort by himself.

Omen

Omen differs from Brimstone in the nature of his abilities. Omen’s abilities are more suited for stealthily striking the opponent rather than holding ground. Unlike Brimstone, Omen’s abilities are rather mobile.

Equipped with the means of stealing sight and teleportation, this agent can function as a silent fragger as well. All of his abilities, including his Ult ability, enables you to attack from the shadows and to impair the opponent’s vision.

Omen is one of the best agents to function as a support-attacker in the game. Coupling him with an attacker such as Jett or Raze can ensure a successful clutch or push.

Reyna

Reyna is perhaps the best agent in Valorant right now. A major reason is that is her ability to regen health from a kill. So, if played well, it can nullify her chances of getting KIA.

In addition to this, she has two abilities that allow her to fight from the shadows, much like Omen. Her ‘Leer’ ability causes enemies to become near-sighted, allowing her to rush in and grab the kills.

Then there is the ‘Dismiss’ ability that renders her intangible after consuming a nearby soul orb (obtained from getting a kill).

Not to mention her Ult ability, which sends her into a frenzy mode consequently giving her heightened movement, firing, and loading speed. Overall, with the combination of both support and attack elements, Reyna can be near unstoppable.

Mind you, this is entirely our own opinion. Feel free to disagree and provide your valuable input down below.
