Amazon is a conglomerate that loves to dabble in pretty much all industries on the planet. They certainly rank among the tech giants of the world and are now poised to truly take the plunge into gaming as well. Earlier this year, the giants announced they’d invested hundreds of millions in the gaming software industry. While they have already published games, those have been restricted to tablets and other portable devices. Their upcoming tactical shooter is a free-to-play PC title and will be available on Steam.
The upcoming shooter is titled ‘Crucible’ and will be released on May 20, which is just a couple of weeks away.
Players will have a choice from a variety of different characters, including humans, robots, and even alien hunters! The characters will feature different abilities and skills, unique to each.

The shooter genre is, by no means, an easy one to take on for a new game. It is the most highly competitive genre in gaming, with countless titles sharing the market. Crucible will have to fight with massively popular games like Apex Legends, Overwatch, CS: GO, and even the brand new Valorant, for a place on the market. However, Crucible will release well before Valorant.
Of all other games, CS: GO looks safest in their potential battle against Crucible. Valorant and Overwatch, perhaps, are the more direct competition for it. Moreover, the three different modes will offer players a taste of a variety of different genres.

One major advantage for Crucible will certainly be Twitch, the online streaming platform. As already proven with Valorant, and Fortnite well before that, twitch has the ability to make or break games. Given the fact that Amazon also owns Twitch, you can expect a very smooth operation for Crucible on the platform.
