Valve’s Steam Deck offers a wide range of controls and long-lasting battery life

To say the least, Valve’s Steam Deck is a high-tech device. It boasts a massive 7-inch 1280 x 800 touchscreen for 720p gameplay, which is surrounded by two thumbsticks, two trackpads for FPS games, ABXY buttons, and a D-pad. Just like the Nintendo Switch, Valve’s Steam Deck will have two shoulder triggers on each side, built-in microphones, and four back buttons.

If you’re used to gaming for long hours, the Steam Deck is undoubtedly a great device for you. As per Valve, its upcoming console can run 2D games, stream, and support web browsing for 7-8 hours. It can run games such as Portal 2 on 30 FPS from 5 to 6 hours, but this number drops as you increase the graphics settings.

How to pre-order Valve’s portable gaming PC?

It is worth noting that the registrations that go live on July 16 aren’t exactly pre-order windows. Instead, they will simply register you in a list of people that can pre-order the device as soon as stock becomes available. To avoid the wrath of scammers, reservations are only accessible to accounts that have Steam account purchases before June 2021.
