Everyone knows Venus Williams as a flawless tennis player, a person with four Olympic gold medals, seven Grand Slam titles and yes, of course, Serena Williams’ elder sister. Little does the tennis world that Venus’ business interest is instrumental in shaping her tennis career. She won an activewear lifestyle brand called EleVen. Venus Williams enjoys both her tennis and trade career. Also, she believes that the pleasure involved in balancing two professions has aided her to perform well on the tennis courts.

“It helped me appreciate it [my tennis] because it doesn’t matter what business you start, you start at the bottom and at tennis at least I’m at the top and I can hopefully stay here,” she shared her opinion. “In entrepreneurship, it’s a lot of work and I’ve done a lot of my work already 30 years ago as a child so any case, I love everything that I’ve attempted, that’s why I do it.” The living legend with 49 WTA titles continued to reveal her thoughts regarding her distinct lifestyle. “It’s not for everyone,” she said. “Not everyone is going to be able to play professional tennis and run a business too. I think that’s definitely an exception. I would just say that anything you put your mind to, you can do.

The 38-year-old tennis champion, Venus Williams gave how to practice the art of entrepreneurship. Also, she stated the key roles of an entrepreneur and refined the meaning of entrepreneur. The American addressed, “I would say if you want to get into entrepreneurship, it doesn’t mean you have to quit everything. You can still keep your job and learn about what you want to do and even start it at that time so that way you have a balance of risk. Being an entrepreneur is about managing risk and being able to experiment in a way that is sustainable. So the new definition of an entrepreneur is completely different than what it used to be.” It is bizarre to stand on two boats in one’s career, however, the American ace made is possible by balancing risks, management and the will to achieve it.

Presently, Venus has been knocked out from the Auckland tournament by a Canadian teenager, Bianca Andreescu. Also, she informed about her participating in the 2020 Tokyo games and she would be aiming to win her sixth Olympic medal at the age of 40. She will be ranked World Number 37 in the Australian Open open which begins on 14th of January.
