Vettel Throws Away Championship Lead

Sebastian Vettel
There was massive drama as the heavens opened and several drivers were caught out. The first high-profile casualty was Daniel Ricciardo with a mechanical issue. But he had retired way earlier. So the talk of the town was Sebastian Vettel who crashed out of the lead. As a result, Lewis Hamilton inherited the lead of the race and championship. Here is how Twitter reacted.

merc with a perfect strategy too tbh, read the weather flawlessly and called for a pit stop at exactly the right time to discount it. like he lost 1 place and 0 seconds to vettel after about 10 laps on the ultras or something silly
