Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios was up against British player Liam Broady in the opening round of the Australian Open 2022. The Australian player won the match comfortably in straight sets, and the game offered a fair amount of entertainment to the fans.

It is no secret that Kyrgios is one of the most popular players on the tour. Whenever he steps on the courts, fans are in for a treat. Today was no exception.

During the initial stages of the match, Nick hit an underarm serve, during which he managed to win the point, as his opponent was unprepared and his shot went out wide.

Nick Kyrgios brought all the tricks to the court 

As the match progressed, there came a moment when Kyrgios hit a tweener between his legs, and his opponent was surprised by the shot.

It so happened that Liam came forward towards the net and Nick hit a passing shot down the line on the forehand side upon the return of the tweener.

The Australian crowds are one of a kind. They always guarantee entertainment when players belonging to their country are competing.

As Nick hit a few underarm serves, there came a point when someone from the crowd shouted out to Liam to do an underarm serve, just the way his opponent was doing on the other side.

On hearing that, both players paused for a moment and saw the funny side of things. It was one of the best matches played today and with this win; Kyrgios will now be up against World No. 2 and 2021 finalist Daniil Medvedev.
