Call of Duty Warzone is all the rage these days. The widely popular battle royale game has now crossed the 75 million player mark, and it keeps on growing. This is just after 5 months of its launch, which is certainly no small feat. There has been an increase in the number of Warzone tournaments in recent times. The Toronto Ultra and Nickmercs’ MFAM Gauntlet are two good examples of it. Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown is the latest addition to the Activision-partnered tournaments, and it promises to be interesting.

Vikkstar took to twitter to announce this tournament.

Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown could feature a lot of big-name streamers

The tournament will run for 9 weeks and feature a prize pool of $210,000! That is the biggest prize pool compared to any other Warzone tournament. Vikkstar has partnered with Call of Duty UK and COD League to make this happen.

We know Activision recently partnered up with Nicmercs’ MFAM Gauntlet tournament and increased the prize pool from $50,000 to $100,000. So the franchise backing a streamer’s tournament is not new. But considering the huge prize pool this tournament offers, we’ll possibly see an even bigger line-up of participants.
