The first one came right at the start of the race in the first round itself. Having lost a significant amount of time, the 38-year-old Venezuelan decided to speed things up. Unfortunately, once again, the stars did not align for Dhers and he lost his balance the second time. This interruption proved to be decisive as he fell back significantly.
He ended the race with only 49.33 points. Such a heartbreak made the Venezuelan cyclist angry at himself. In a fit of rage, the 38-year-old stated, “Now, it is a few days of mourning and incinerating the bike.”
However, this was not the only self-reflection he made.
