As per WUSA’s report, preliminary findings from the investigation suggest that in the collision that took place at 10:20 a.m., the two cyclists were heading northbound on Stottlemeyer Road. While they were approaching a stop sign at the intersection of MD-77/Foxville Road, at the time motor unit was present in the vicinity. The cyclist believed the unit had halted the traffic on Foxville Road. Upon realizing that traffic was still in motion, they attempted to halt. However, due to wet road conditions, they slid through the intersection which resulted in the collision.
