Olympics Committee Gets Thrashed After Games List Finalized for E-sports Tournament

Esports has been blooming in recent times.  There are many esports players who have attained great fame and many streamers turn to esports for a good quality time as well as to compete in virtual reality. 

However, after the recent announcement of the Olympic sports events, it has been slightly disappointing for the gamers as not much is included in the list. Some competitors have been buzzing about the authenticity of an actual sporting event in the Olympics as the games mentioned above are not really considered a part of esports gaming.

The esports community frowning on the list

The E-sport event which is set to happen in Singapore, on Thursday, has a total of 10 virtual games. Among them are archery, chess, and taekwondo. The problem lies in the fact that these games cannot be technically considered e-sports according to the gaming community.

A Malaysian esports professional addressed the whole fact in a statement, “I don’t think these sports games should be highlighted at the competition compared to top esports games, considering these types of sports are already physically contested,”

Although this is a great initiative by the Olympic sports community to get the sports involved in the list, these games in the presence of DOTA and other such legit esports games, are nowhere.

Some suggestions are also been made to have a look at the World League that was organized by Pubg, which was actually an interesting sport event.

PUBG World League in Esports

In previous years, the world league organized by the Pubg team has been a wonderful success. Many players from many nations participated in the league and it was widely appreciated among the esports supporters. 

It has been one of the major successes of the esports community as the young generation goes to showcase their talent and make a name and set the stage for upcoming tournaments as well. However, recent bans of the game in certain rate nations cost Pubg a huge amount of crowd. The backend team is constantly working to bring back the good days of the game.

Not only Pubg but there are also many search online platforms such as Fortnite and Call of Duty, which are providing excellent competition and or are very interesting to watch as well.

Though it is still an early phase for Olympic Association to get into action with online sports, some adjustments and some suggestions for involvement with the esports community can actually lead to things getting on the right track.
